SI WarCounter – the tool to manage all your wars.
You simply import your battle and recycling reports with Copy&Paste into WarCounter.
First you need to create an account where the data will be stored.
Press the 'Accounts...' button to open Account management. Next you enter the account name and account language. Now you can see a list of all your wars. Oh, right, you don't have any… yet.
To begin a new war you simply press the button 'Start War…'. Now enter a name for the war and each party and set the start date of the war. The newly created war will be added to the list.
Doubleclicking a war or selecting 'Show' from the popup menu will open the war details view. You open the popup menu by right-clicking a war entry.
Now you see the war parties with their associated players, alliances and recycling reports as well as the battle reports.
By clicking the respective 'Import…' buttons you now add battle reports to the war or recycling reports to a party.
To add a recycling report simply copy the report into the text area and the report date into the text field. Select language according to report language. The imported data is shown below the text area. The recycled resources are automatically added to the party.
To import a battle report just copy it into the text area. Now choose the sides and the enter the alliances. If the players are already known, the program will try to deduce the correct entries. Again select language according to report language.
The destroyed units and captured resources will be credited to the parties and new players and alliances added to the lists.
Conversely, when a report is deleted (by selecting it and pressing <Del> or selecting 'Delete' from the popup menu) the resources are deducted from the parties. Players must be deleted by hand, alliances will be automatically removed when none of their players remain.
By doubleclicking the appropriate fields you can change the name of the war or the parties or set the start or end date of the war. After the war is set finished a winner can be declared. Reports can no longer be added to or removed from a finished war. You can reopen a war by pressing 'Continue fighting'.
A double click on a report will display it, <Ctrl>-<C> will copy it to the clipboard.
Selecting 'Diagram' from the War popup menu in the Summary or Details view opens the Diagram view. Destroyed units, plundered and recycled resources are shown as bar diagrams. A right click anywhere inside the diagrams opens a popup to print them or save them as image files.
You can customize the party colors by clicking on the party name.
Selecting 'History' from the War popup menu in the Summary or Details view brings up the History view. It shows the history of destroyed units, captured or recycled resources. These, too, can be printed or saved as image files.
Wars can be exported from the Summary or details view as (gzipped) XML format and imported via Tools->Import…. Thus you can share your war data between alliance members. Export as CSV format is possible as well so you can import your data e.g. into Excel.
With File->Export DB… you can export your complete Database and reimport after e.g. a DB upgrade with File->Import DB….
