SI Archive, as the name suggests, is a database for your SI data.
Here you can import your battle and spy reports and the galaxy view with Copy&Paste and manage them with a simple user interface.
First you need to create an account where the data will be stored.
Press the 'Accounts...' button to open Account management. Next you enter the account name and account language. Account language must correspond to the language in the game, otherwise data import will not work!
With the introduction of JSON data this is no longer strictly necessary. JSON is designed to be machine readable, the configured language is no longer essential for successful parsing.
Once you've created your account you can import your Spy and Battle reports or the Galaxy view by pasting them into the input area at the bottom of the main window (via Ctrl-V or just by clicking the right mouse button). To verify your input you can enlarge the input area. By pressing the 'Import...' button you import the data.
The search is in the center of the main window. Its divided into four parts – Planets, Black holes, Spy reports and Battle reports.
You can search for planets by planet name, owner name or alliance of owner, by points or by planet coordinates. Names can contain the wildcards '?' or '*'. Additionally you can narrow the search by adding the player status.
The output can be sorted by any column. A right click brings up a popup menu which takes you to the Galaxy View or starts additional searches with the current line as parameter. You can display several searches in different tabs. You open a new tab by pressing the 'New' button.
You can search for Black Holes by level, attack status or by systems. All table columns are sortable. by double-clicking an entry you get directly to the Galaxy View.
You can search for Spy reports by planet name, coordinate range or time. Battle reports additionally by attacker or defender name – since there are no planet names in Battle reports you cannot search by them. A right click brings up a popup to display the report or open the Galaxy View. Additionally you can mark your reports with a priority which can be used as search filter.
At the bottom of a Spy or Battle report you can see and change the priority flag as well.
Missing sections in a Spy report (due to insufficient spy technology) are marked in red
By pressing Ctrl-C in a Spy or Battle report window it will be copied to the clipboard and can be pasted into SI-Master, SI-Tool or some other tool.
The Galaxy View opens from the 'Tools' menu or from the search result popup.
It shows the imported planetary systems. Battle or Spy reports for planets or
asteroids are shown as little icons. Fleet () or
defense (
) from the latest spy report are shown
on the planet or asteroid.
Enemy asteroids are outlined in red to make them more visible.
Medium () and high (
) target economic
power is marked as well.
By moving the mouse over a target planet a tooltip with additional information is shown.
The latest spy () or battle report (
)
can be opened directly by clicking on them, a right click brings up a menu with
additional search options.
The lower part of the Galaxy view shows an overview over all planetary systems. Colored blocks show known, non-empty systems. A freshly imported system is shown in green, an old one in red. Yellow, brown to red denote increasingly outdated data. The current system is outlined in blue, a tooltip shows the system coordinates below the mouse pointer.
If you allowed data transfer in the game you can activate it with Tools->Data Transfer->Web Server. It is then enabled for all accounts. To protect your account data from being overwritten by the wrong data set the universe ID inside the JSON data is compared against your accounts universe type. Only if they match the import will proceed. If you do wish to import data from a different universe you need to paste it into the input field.
The Tools menu gives access to data export and import. Data is saved in gzipped XML Format and can be imported later, e.g. to import backed up data after a DB upgrade or to share data with friends.
Data can be imported into a different account, however, import into a different language is not possible.
