If you've ever been to SI-Master you'll find yourself right at home.
First you need to create an account or select an existing one.
Account language should match the universe you are playing, most import functions depend on the correct language.
With the introduction of JSON data this is no longer strictly necessary. JSON is designed to be machine readable, the configured language is no longer essential for successful parsing.
Enter the name, position and size of you planet and the size of the asteroid as applicable. Everything, except position, can also be edited directly in the table afterwards.
You can enter other planets than your own, they'll be used as preferred escape flight targets.
With the „Import Planet...“ button you can import own planets from Command Central, own and foreign planets from the little popup in the galaxy window.
As in SI you can change the order of your planets.
To create a profile of your enemy you first make a new account and then you can import his (or her) planets with the „Import Planet...“ button from the spy reports.
Important! You need to check the „Own planet“ checkbox. Then the buildings, ships
defenses and tech values are copied, too. Existing values will be overwritten!
Asteroids are automatically added to their planets - of course, you need to import the planet first
This calculator helps you find the escape flight that suits you best.
Escape flights protect your ships and resources when you are not online.
You can enter the coordinates of you start planet or select them from your planets.
Now you need to enter the speed of your escape fleet (or press „Calculate...“).
If you assigned a fleet to this planet the speed will be automatically calculated.
At last you enter the desired escape flight duration. You can calculate the flight duration from
the arrival time.
Press „Calculate escape flight“
„Calculated escape flights“ now contains several possible escape flights. initially they are sorted by time but they can be sorted by any column
With „Select most accurate escape flight“ you can select the escape flight that most closely conforms to your desired flight duration.
However you might want to select a flight with a lower % value since spice consumption is lower for those flights. The selected escape flight can be copied to the lower panel („Saved escape flights “) for savekeeping
When you found your optimal escape flight you can automatically copy it for all your planets.
Here you calculate speed and composition of your (trading) fleet depending on needed flight (or arrival) time or the flight duration to a specific planet (e.g. for a colonization).
Enter your ships and defenses here. Ships on a planet will be used automatically for the escape flight calculator.
To import ships or defenses from SI you copy them from the game, click on the planet name in the table header and paste into the text field.
The fleet calculator lets you check how long it takes to build your ships, how much it costs and how many transmitters you'll need to transport the resources (yeah and how many points you gain as well).
You can enter your research values directly into the table or import them from the game.
The values entered here are used for the escape flight calculator and the economy view.
Enter your buildings directly into the table or, as in the fleet view, import them from the game. Select the planet by clicking on the planet name in the table header. Asteroids can be imported by clicking on the corresponding asteroid field.
If you entered the planet (and asteroid) size correctly you can see your planet (and asteroid) utilization. You can see how many points your planet contributes as well..
The build queue lets you plan your planet buildup.
You open an economy view by pressing „New“ or „Load“.
Here you see your industrial output according to your buildings and tech values. Utilization can be adjusted individually for each building or combined for all buildings in a column by checking the lock symbol in the summary line.
Existing stocks can be imported from the game as well. Asteroid stocks, copied from Command central, can be added by the „Import...“ button in their row.
You can have several open economy views to check and compare different scenarios. You can save and load economy views.
For planets you added from spy reports you can import their resource stocks here from the spy reports as well. This way you can check when it's time to raid them again...
Resources from asteroid spy reports will be assigned to the correct asteroid, so you only need to use the „Import resources...“ button.
Here you can see the basic game values for buildings, research, ships and defenses and attack zones. By selecting a planet (or asteroid) the existing values for temperature, developments center, weapons factory, MSA etc. will be filled in automatically.
The current achieved level is marked red (if applicable).
This is, well, the tech tree.
There are two basic trade modes. The traditional value mode, where resources are calculated according to their basic trading rates. The % value shows which part of the overall value a particular resource makes up.
In volume mode the % shows the part of the overall volume.
(e.g: I have 10kk Metal and want 50% pig iron and 50% kryptonite (8kk + 8kk)).
In this mode the sum of all % values will be automatically adjusted to 100%.
If you want to fix a % value to a certain value you have to lock it
(by clicking on the lock symbol). Now only the remaining values will be adjusted.
If you force the sum to be <100% (by e.g. locking all values and adding a resource
to the input) the result will be... undefined.
Of course you can open several trade views
You can use the automatic data transfer to transmit data from your game account to SI Tool. If activated it can send the data automatically or when you press the JSON 'link' symbol.
SI Tool can accept data from the Intergalactic planet overview or from spy reports.
The Intergalactic planet overview you will typically use to manage your own account since it contains all the data from your account, spy reports you'll use to manage the data gathered from your, er, adversaries. Thats why you have to select in the account settings whether SI Tool should accept data from the Intergalactic planet overview or from spy reports for that account (or not at all if both are unselected). Only one option can be enabled for any given account. As a security measure against accidentally overwriting your account data when playing multiple universes SI Tool will refuse to accept data when the universe type in the data does not match the one configured in the account. (Of course, if you absolutely must you can always paste the data into the input field).
When you want to import data from the Intergalactic planet overview you need to select the Planets view. All your data will be replaced at once by the new data. When you open the Economy view instead, a new tab with all your resources will open instead. The Intergalactic planet overview auto updates every 15 min so if you enabled fully automatic data import you can expect a new resource tab to pop up every 15 minutes.
Import from spy reports behaves somewhat differently. You only ever have the data from one planet (or asteroid) in it. To import a new planet you need to select the Planets view. Importing a spy report there will create or update the planet, import all its buildings, ships and defenses and update the research data for the account. Only after you created a planet will other views start to accept data for it. When you have the Fleet view open, the ships and defenses for the imported planet (or asteroid) will be updated, as well as the research data, the buildings, however will not be updated. Conversely, if you open the Buildings view, only the buildings on the planet (or asteroid) and the research will be updated - the fleet remains unchanged. (if you do want to update everything, use the Planets view).
When you open the Economy view the resources from the planet in the spy report will be updated, but only if a report tab is already open. This way you can collect the results of multiple spy reports into a single report tab. Of course, the planet must already exist in SI Tool for the data to be collected.
SI Tool differentiates between normal and the outpost planets. In a normal universe view only the non-outpost planets will be imported. For an outpost universe you need to select the 'Outpost' option in the account view. You then set the speed, fleet speed and speed-up values for the outpost universe. If you select one of the JSON import settings, only data from the outpost planets will be imported. Only research will be always imported.
A big „Thank you“ goes to Kirk_001 and bernhardms for revealing the top secret formula for the calculation of the flight duration.
More thanks to (again) bernhardms and .Bluehawk. for the discovery that there are only 150 unique planetary systems in SI.
And, of course, to hazzit for his great site SI-Master.
And to hazzits provider, without SI-Masters downtime this program would never have been created.
